This is the real deal. Marty, I know others have commented so I'll concentrate on what folks like me need to know. The mic cables are solid and have all the added length I needed to connect them to my equipment. The bases are solid metal and provide all of the support these arms could possibly need. Also, the springs are plenty strong enough to even hold my RCA 77D and EV RE20. Plus, with all the extras I had parts leftover. I feel sure that these stands will be with me a long time in any future configuration. They're solid, they look good and are easily positioned in my "standup" environment. Kudos!
